Last May, yes I know what you're thinking..."it took you this long to post this!?" Haha!!! Yup, let's just say personal photos always get pushed to the back-burner when you're a photographer.
So....last May I jumped on a plane and flew out to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to visit my friend, Ericha. Ericha and I met at Melissa Jill's "MJ2Day" photography workshop in Phoenix back in 2010. Ericha had always said I should come visit sometime and I told her to let me know when it would work best for her. Well, one day I had an email from her asking if I'd be interested in coming in Spring time and if I'd be interested in shooting a wedding with her while I was out. Heck yes, the wedding was ON THE BEACH in New Jersey.....I would be able to see the Atlantic Ocean. This was only my 2nd time seeing an ocean so I was pretty pumped. :)
The entire trip was JAM-PACKED with soooo much fun!!! I was gone from Thursday, May 16th and flew home on Wednesday, May 22nd. My first day was pretty much just a travel day and getting settled at Ericha's house. Friday, Ericha and I, along with her friend (and now mine too) Jaime headed into the heart of Philly. Seriously, best tour guides ever! :) I honestly cannot even remember what half the places were called but a lot of them are very important American historical landmarks. Where's a look at just SOME of the places and things I got to see in Philly! :)
Alright, let me educate you here for a moment. Rita's serves "Water Ice" (or wooder-ice as some of my Philly friends call it, LoL!)...don't be mistaken, it's not Ice Water....it's more like a very smooth slushie! :) Very delicious!
This place, Penn's Landing was one of my favorite places we visited that day. It's a super neat area along the Delaware River which is the river that separates Pennsylvania and New Jersey. We just hung out and watched the ships pass by...it was just so relaxing and peaceful.
This is only a tiny glimpse into my day exploring Philly with my friends!! :) Stay tuned for photos from our trip to NYC! :)
